Kennebec Topaz
Buckskin Morgan mare

Just as with CJ Sparkling Gem (Dusty), Topaz's color line comes directly from Californio, the sire of Topaz's buckskin dam, Kennebec Opal. Topaz is a typical yellow-gold of a paler buckskin, rather than the caramely-red of a bay dun, or peachy-red tones of a dunskin.

In the bottom two photos, we can see that Topaz has some counter shading leg markings. These are not true leg bars, as seen on dun dilutes. The front leg markings are not at all well defined, and those on the hind legs are more or less shadows of stripes. Additionally, dun leg barring on the hind legs is on the sides and backs of the hocks (and sometimes on the insides of the hocks), not on the front of the hock joint.
